The rear camera system is reported to carry two 48MP lenses, a wide and an ultra wide, with no telephoto. The absence of a periscope telephoto module is a consequence of the folded body geometry, which leaves insufficient depth for the component. Both a cover screen camera and an inner display camera are reported, giving two front-facing options depending on which display is in use.

The iPhone Fold is a first-generation product at a price that starts at roughly double the iPhone 17 Pro. First-generation Apple hardware is typically well-executed, but it carries inherent unknowns that reviews of existing devices cannot answer: long-term hinge durability, real-world crease visibility after months of use, repair costs for a complex new form factor, and how the foldable interface holds up in daily practice rather than a controlled demo environment.
